For my first blog post, I'd like to share with
everyone a video that I found rather entertaining. This video features Ellen Degeneres, Jimmy
Fallon and Justin Timberlake, three hilarious famous celebrities. Ellen and
Jimmy are competing in Fallon’s notorious “Celebrity Lip Sync Battle”
game, with JT selecting the ultimate winner in the end. Jimmy and Ellen face
off with one another singing the songs “B*tch Better Have My Money” by Rihanna,
“Mr. Brightside” by the Killers, Diana Ross’s “Do you know where you are going
to?” and last but not least, Silento’s “Watch Me (Whip/ Nae Nae)”
Personally I think Jimmy Fallon is one of the funniest
late night talk show hosts on television right now. He is entertaining and
never fails to make me laugh. Ellen is also hilarious and is someone who
appreciates good humour. I love both of there talk shows. Naturally, by having
the two of them face off with one another it just shows how comfortable Ellen
and Jimmy are with making fun of themselves and allowing others to laugh at
them and along with them. Justin Timberlake is the cherry on top of this video.
Timberlake is good friends with Ellen and is real life BFF’s with Jimmy Fallon,
so it was so funny to have Timberlake judging the competition in the end and
selecting a winner. The humour and hilarity amongst the three of them is so
natural and funny, it is a youtube video that is worth your watch. Take a look

The "Celebrity Lip Sync Battle" videos that Jimmy Fallon posts are some of my favourite videos on YouTube! It is such a fun idea to bring some of the most popular celebrities and have them interact in a new and entertaining way. I loved this lip sync battle in particular because of the genuine connection the three of them seemed to share. It was so nice to see all of them laughing at one another in a positive and supportive way. These lip sync battles are such an entertaining way to see a different side of celebrities and showcase the friendly relationships they have off camera!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the celebrity lip sync battles on the Jimmy Fallon Show! This video in particular was so well received as it featured two incredibly talented and hilarious celebrities such as Ellen Degeneres and Justin Timberlake. What is particularly interesting about these lip sync battles is that they have emerged into non-digital spheres. For example, last Monday at Wilfs open mic night a group of students performed a lip sync battle as one of the acts. It was incredibly well received by the audience, and drew in a large amount of customers for the hour. This is indicative of how popular these types of videos are and how they have a place within both digital and non-digital spheres.
ReplyDeleteLip Sync battles are great! I love that they take celebrities out of their "celebrity status" and allow everyone to connect over music. These popular songs create a sense of community and its neat to see how successful the show has been.
